Hi everyone,
WOW! It's been busy!!!! Since the last blog Scott and I have been moving, unpacking, going to camp, setting up shop, unpacking, ordering furniture, work, Sharathon, unpacking, blah blah blahhhh!
All that to say it's been insane. So sorry we haven't been keeping you all updated through our blog.
Our house is really coming along! We love it so much. I really can't wait for everyone to COME VISIT! :) Now I realize what people mean when they say "there is always something to do when you own a home." We have painted 3 rooms already and I just unpacked the last box! The guest room is ready and has a fresh set of sheets on the bed so come on down... or over!
Scott just hung a fan in our bedroom. The old one was puke brown and was oldddddddd. So we got a black one to match our new bedroom furniture. It is amazing how much of a difference is made.
Ok well time for a quick game of pool with Scotty boy, then we are going grocery shopping. Love you all!

This is the way we ROLL...
Ok so here's the scoop...
We were SUPPOSED to close on our house Friday, BUT some things came up with our appraiser. GRRRR! But all that to say, we are closing either on Wednesday or Thursday of next week. Best part is, we can still move in next weekend!!! YAY!! I will get to spend my quarter of a century Birthday in our NEW HOUSE! That is such a great b-day present. :) (Yes I just reminded everyone my b-day is coming up... haha... June 11th baby!)
Speaking of our house, Scott and I are looking for some new bedroom and living room goodies. We want to put our current bedroom set into our guest room and get new furniture. Originally we wanted black furniture, but we found expresso furniture that we really like. See -

The only problem is our bedding will be in black and white. Do you think it will clash?
Also we are looking at a new rug and chairs for our living room. This is what we are getting -

This will match our tiles on the 1st floor. We are also looking at some chairs that will match the greenish color in there!
We are really excited! Even more excited to have people over to see it and spend time with us!!! :)

house full of wieners
I am writing this to the sound of 12 paws running through the living room. Did Jaco join a gang? No, he is the leader of a Gang!
We are dog sitting for some friends of ours... or hosting "The World's First Wiener Dog Sleep Over."
It has every thing you would expect in a sleep over... The "we miss our mom and dad" whimpering that quickly fades with the sights and sounds of new rooms to check out "sniff sniff sniff" and new toys to play with "tug tug, rip rip". This followed by eating too much junk food "bones and treats." This spells out stink in the form of buckets of vomit! So after Britt yells "OH MY GOODNESS!" over and over again from the kitchen I jump to my feet and run in, to see a dog in full stream..... from the mouth. I am not going to say what dog (all will remain innocent until proven guilty in a court of doggy law.) I will say this, Jaco was sitting on the couch looking at me like "Dude what did you want me to do?"
So after all the hype has slowed down and everyone is settling into their final place for the night, I will take a look at Britt and say... you still want to wait before trying to tackle some kids? The vote is unanimous... and we decide that trying to keep a small wiener dog off the streets and out of little dog gangs is going to serve as enough of a challenge for a while.

Grocery Shopping
Scott and I have been working out together and trying to get back in to shape. It has been really great so far. Scott is actually some what being my personal trainer! I am really impressed with how much he has learned in the last few months.
But we decided we needed to eat better too... so we went grocery shopping the other day to get some good grub. Scott had a great idea to go by the grocery store closest to our new house! SMARTTTTT... haha! They say you should check those things out to find out about the area you live in. If only we did that in the current house we live in... ewww!
We went to a Wal-Mart that only has the grocery store part. I think they are called Wal-Mart Neighborhood. Anyways we didn't feel threatened or outnumbered at all! Success!!! No seriously, it was a really nice store and we were really happy with it.
Speaking of the house we made a few steps of progress today. We sat down with our mortgage broker and signed off on some things and also had the new house inspected. The inspector didn't find any major problems. Just a bathtub leak in the master bath, which he said shouldn't be outrageous to fix. SO YAYYYY!
Other than that we have been busy, like usual. We are going to a Jars of Clay concert tomorrow and Scott will be helping with some things at the show. We are really happy right now and can't wait for friends and family to see our new home!

Nashvegas!
I just got back from Nashville and am soooo tired! It was quite an amazing trip!
Our flights were for last Friday. Scott's was a couple of hours before mine and when I went to leave a freak storm came through and canceled my flight. So I got to Nashville on Saturday and was greeted by amazing husband at our hotel.
Over the weekend we got things set up for our live broadcast. The booth looked amazing and it was great to see people as they started to arrive.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were jam packed with artist interviews and seminars. We were the only radio station broadcasting live this year (major bummer).
I barely got to see Scott as he was a networking fool. I am still waiting to hear all about his week and the artists he is now working with. I heard great things though! People were starting to ask me about him there! I am so proud of him.
Now I am home and Scotty boy is still in Nashville. :( He decided to stay for the Dove Awards... no fair. I had to get back to work.
Overall it was AMAZING and I will hopefully post pics soon.
XOXO,
Scott and Britt

:(
Don't you hate it how you look forward to a time and then it arrives and it is so wonderful, and then it is over and you are sad...
Yeah, well that's me today. I have been looking forward to my family's visit for EVER! They came on Tuesday and stayed until Friday and it was so nice having them here. I really missed them and it warmed my heart with them being here. Made this feel like home with them here.
Then, on Friday I had to drop of Scott at the airport early so he could go home for Josh's wedding. Only to turn around a few hours later and drop off the rest of my loved ones. SO SAD!
So I came home to an empty house and slept. Good thing Jaco is here to keep me company. Overall it was a great visit and a good time. Just depressing now that it's over...
CAN'T WAIT FOR AUGUST! :)

VACATION!
AHHHHH! I am officially on vacation! I am so excited!
This week was sooooo stressful. I had two promotions to complete before I left for vacation and only 3 days to do it. Friday we had a concert out in College Station (2 hours away from the station) and I was out of the office all day. The concert was amazing, but really tiring because it was freezing cold and rainy. (it was an outside event)
3 more days and my family is here! :D Yeah! That is when my vacation will get really good. I am so excited to see them and spend some time with them.
Scott played music out at a church last night. He was dressed rather, ummm what's the word, different. He looked like a rock star. :) The guys he was playing with thought they were playing for a youth service and they found out they were playing for senior citizens when they got there! HAHA! He said it turned out great though.
Enjoy your weekend!

House Hunting
Hey everyone, I decided it's my turn to write on this...........by that I mean Britt said IT'S YOUR TURN DORK NUT!! Just kidding.
Well we are looking at houses and it's been fun. We drive by slow......then we get out of the car.........then we stock the house, walking around it slow and looking in windows..........then we find an unlocked door.........then we go inside and talk about all the things we will do different to the house (cuz we have better style)..........then we call the people selling the house and breathe hard into the phone and say...........we are in your house.
Well at least that's how we checked out the last one that we liked a lot....but I think it sold. That's a bummer but I think
there is a house out there that's just for us and I'm going to find it. MARK MY WORDS, I WILL FIND IT!!

lazy Saturday
Ok so I know we haven't been blogging lately... and we apologize!
But after talking with my blog stalker...AKA...my Grandmother Britt...I will start trying to blog more often.
Right now I am laying out in our backyard. It feels so nice out! It's about 77 degrees here in Humble, TX and the sun is out and bright. Meanwhile Scott is surfing and Jaco is running around in the backyard. Everytime we are out in the backyard Jaco stirs up the other dogs outside. There is a little hole in the fence that he can fit his nose through and so can our backyard neighbor's dog. So they proceed to bark at each other through the hole then run down the fence barking then go back to the hole. This happens over and over and over!
Tonight we will go to Saturday night church because we are out in the community tomorrow. KSBJ is sponsoring Tour de Houston. It is a training bike ride for the MS-150. This is a Mayor's initiative and so it has been a big deal and kept me pretty busy. Our President of KSBJ is also riding so it's even more important that things go flawless. No pressure...
Then I am a little over a week away from my family coming!!! So exciting! I can't wait to see them and show them around town. I plan on taking them to the Downtown Aquarium, shopping (for the girls), golfing (for the boys), taking them up to my work, and showing them so houses we've been looking at. :) Just them being here is going to be awesome!
Well I hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Please excuse any typos as it's bright out here and I can't see the computer screen very well.
With love,
Britt and Scott

Missing Florida
AHHHHHH! I am at home allllll alone! I hate it!
Scott went to Florida Monday for a conference in Orlando and will never be home. At least it feels like it. He got to see our family and friends and even went to our old church tonight! Seriously I am VERY jealous.
I really wish I could have gone and seen my dad. He is still in the hospital and it would have been nice to hug him and see him. :( Scott went by and checked up on him for me though.
At least my family is coming here the end of this month. I am holding on to that and counting down the days!
Meanwhile I am working like crazy... what else is new... and learning more and more about Texas. Currently there is the Houston Livestock and Rodeo going on and I have been part of the festivities. Last weekend was the parade and yesterday was the Celebrity Goat Milking contest. Our morning show didn't win... even though I got them a goat to practice on that morning and researched how to milk a goat online. haha!
Yee Haw!

Well it's been a while since I blogged anything and for good reason......I have been super tied up with designing a new line of merchandise for Tenth Avenue North. They are going on tour with
Jeremy Camp, Mercy Me, and Hawk Nelson........it's going to be a big tour.
10,000 seat arenas only for 30 dates.
The thing is with venues of this size you have to appeal to a broad audience. So there are a lot of designs that end up on the cutting room floor so to speak.
Here are a few........
In all I did around 40 designs.
These were the ones I had the most fun doing. Not necessarily the ones that were chosen but just fun.
I had a blast with all the 80s throw back stuff. ;-)

RELIEF!
I had a major scare today with my beloved dad. He went in to do a routine heart test and next thing I know he is in the ICU. To make a long story short he is stable and is in the CCU NOT the ICU. Just flat out scary. I love him soooo much! It makes it so hard to be away when things like this happen. My mom was a trooper and Judy helped us get through this hard day. I got to talk to him tonight and told him to keep breathing, keep beating, and stay alive! I need him. :)
