Home for Christmas!

We are sooooo close to being home! I can't wait! Everything has really slowed down now and I am very much so ready for a vacation. Scott will be driving over on Thursday and I will be flying home on Friday. I also just got 2 extra days off! Whoop whoop!

Right now it is freezing here! It is in the high 30's. Although I love it feeling like Christmas, I am ready for some warmer weather. I will post some more snow pics from last week. They say it may snow again today! CRAZY!

SNOW!

Ok so, today was a very long day for me! I got to work at 7:30am and didn't leave until 9:00pm! Let me explain:

It started out with meetings all day. Then we had our awesome Christmas party at work. They had catered food, we revealed our Secret Santas, we exchanged gifts, we danced as we cleaned up, it was all sorts of fun! Then I got back to meetings and work. 

Around 7:30 tonight I was still working when a few people that were still at work got on the intercom and announced it was snowing! So we ran outside and video taped our snow ball fight and playing in the snow to put on our website. ***I am talking real snow...I am not exaggerating...pictures to come***

After the snow ball fight I ran inside, frozen, and got back to work when I realized my engagement ring was not on my finger. I started freaking out and retraced my steps and thought I most likely lost it while playing in the snow. 

Next I made the dreaded call to Scott, crying, and explained to him what had happened. Scott being the amazing person he is, calmed me down and said not to worry and that we WILL find it.

I tried to get a few more things done in the office before I left when I got a call from Scott. He told me he found someone with a metal detector and he was coming by the radio station. Once they got there they got straight to work. 

About 30 minutes later, we found it! Yes found the ring, that was in the field of grass outside our radio station, covered in snow, right about where I nailed a coworker of mine right in the stomach with a snow ball.

Needless to say, tonight has been a crazy night! I documented the whole thing so you all could enjoy and laugh (now that we found it) with us.

Well, in spite of the vicious rumor that we are growing up, and getting more mature, I wanted to post a picture of me and Britt when we were 16 and 17. If you ask me not much has changed since this picture was taken. We are three houses, two states, and one dog further along in life, but in no way are we growing up. Sure we have more bills but think I we have more fun as well. So lets raise a glass this Christmas and toast to being young and in love.

Can I make a suggestion...

Ok so I finally went to the Dr. today! I am glad I did because now I have a sinus infection. I have been sick all week and can't shake it, so I thought some prescribed drugs would give me the extra boost I needed. :)

Other than that Scott and I went to church this morning and watched a Christmas play that was beautiful. I cried when little ballerina dancers came out and portrayed angels. haha! 

This week is a busy week! Between ordering more promotional products, meetings, our staff Christmas party, and 3, yes 3 events this weekend! OH goodness I can't wait to be home and rest!!!

This weekend!

Tomorrow is a big day for me (Britt). I am the front person for an all day festival in a town near here called Brenham. My team is leaving at 7:30 tomorrow morning and we will be set up with our booth and prize wheel from 10am-5pm. Then we are in a parade! I haven't even seen our float yet, but we got lots of goodies to pass out.

It's been a busy week and next week will be even busier! But I love it! The station wants to talk to me next week about flying me out to Nashville in February to meet everyone at the record labels. So I am really excited! Here's Scott...

Well things have been non stop for me as well. I have been networking with a few artists that will be helping us promote fig tree. Two of which are on major record labels. In fact one of them has a music video that has been on MTV.   This is a link to there myspace page.

Fig Tree was also invited to be a part of a Christmas concert at the House of Blues in orlando with "between the trees" and a few other bands along with a company called "Toms shoes"
(http:/www.tomshoes.com ) Its a big event that has been sold out the past few years.
I am truly blessed to be able to work with such high profile people at such an early stage in my business. 
On a separate note I have been enjoying a fire in the fireplace almost every night....... even when its to hot outside and Britt thinks I'm crazy. lol

Sick and tired...

I am sick and tired of being sick! Now my ear hurts! It started out with Scott being sick and I thought I wasn't going to catch it...then...BAM...I'm sick! And now the ear...COME ON!

Haha, but I think I'm on the downhill part of the sickness. Thank goodness, as I have a major event this Saturday. It is in Brenham (I have no idea where that is) and we are part of a festival there and then I will be on a float in a parade! FUN!

We CAN NOT WAIT to come home for Christmas! We miss the family so very much and can't wait to see everyone! Yipppppeeeeeeeeee!

Ugh!

So yesterday I woke up to Scott getting sick in the bathroom. He ate 3 of my icecream pops and swore it wasn't going to affect his lactose problem....righttttttttttt. I hope he remembers that morning the next time he tries to eat icecream!

But now he is really sick. We were supposed to go to a concert last night I had to be at, but he looked horrible and decided to stay at home. I knew he was really sick because he didn't want to go!

I think he has the flu....yes mom....I am giving him juice! haha! He doesn't want to go to the Doctor so hopefully it passes soon. I have been giving him Zicam or whatever that horrible stuff is.

I am going to go get some movies and him some more medicine and just relax with him today. Man I wish I had some leftover Thanksgiving right about now! :(

FINALLY!

Ok so I just learned how to do this...Sign on to the blog that is! 

Scott and I celebrated Thanksgiving early tonight. We had sushi for dinner and on the way home we talked about all that we are thankful for. It was nice. And the sushi...best we have ever had! 

Tomorrow we are going downtown for an event I have. Scott is helping with our setup and all. I brought him home a station t-shirt tonight so he can wear it tomorrow. It is in Spanish...he really liked it! Haha!

Love you all and wish we were celebrating Thanksgiving with you...but we will for Christmas! Hooray! Happy Thanksgiving...we are so very thankful for you!

Well we tried out some new churches and i  think we found one that we like.

its 2nd Baptist Houston. i know what your thinking ,2nd? well we do live in a town 

called humble.

so the church was cool and i think we will be going back this Sunday.

oh and im not sure if there ready for the Gators just yet....... but i just might give them a go 

this next Sunday.
